Marketing Manager
Location: Hybrid - 80% Remote, 20% In Person (as needed)
Compensation: $60,000-$70,000/year (based on experience) plus benefits (retirement, health, and PTO)

Position Description
Systems Change Strategies (SCS) is seeking a highly creative and motivated Marketing Manager to join our team.
As the Marketing Manager, you will manage marketing projects from start to finish. Additionally, you will serve as a key contributor in transforming communications and marketing plans into actionable initiatives by executing campaigns through media buy, evaluating their effectiveness, and making necessary adjustments to ensure campaign success.
This role will report to the Creative Director. This is a permanent, full-time, salaried position. SCS exclusively works with mission driven non-profits, governmental entities, and campaigns that align with our values of helping people and creating positive impact in the communities we serve.
The selected candidate will be responsible for project management & media buy for Systems Change Strategies and its clients. The selected candidate will be expected to participate in team meetings, draft concepts, work with team members and clients to deliver a quality service.

SCS is a mostly remote company, although our client base is primarily located in Rhode Island and the company operates on Eastern Time.
Primary Duties
Project Management & Collaboration:

Serves as the primary point of contact for project-related communications, proactively providing stakeholders with timely updates on project progress, milestones, and any potential risks or challenges that may arise.

Engage in cross-functional collaboration, partnering with internal and external stakeholders to orchestrate the execution of marketing projects, campaigns, and initiatives.

Perform and oversee research process which may include surveys, focus groups, interviews, environmental scans, or other methods.

Write reports, flyers, and other project-related documents.
Marketing & Media Buy:

Provide administrative support in overseeing media buys across multiple media accounts. This includes conducting preliminary research to determine the availability of airtime/space across various media platforms such as TV, radio, digital, and out-of-home.

Manages all steps of the digital buy process, from utilizing self-managed platforms (including but not limited to Google Analytics, social media, CTV/OTT, and audio), monitoring and optimizing campaigns to maximize ROI, to building campaign reports and reporting on key metrics to internal and external stakeholders.

Collaborate closely with the Communications Director, Creative Director, and Project Managers to prepare various documents related to media buying, ensuring a seamless and effective process.

Collaborate closely with the Communications Director and Creative Director to ensure the successful implementation of the company's marketing plan, providing support in social media management and email marketing activities.

Stay abreast of the latest industry best practices, emerging trends, and new ad opportunities in marketing to deliver cutting-edge ideas, innovative solutions, and campaign effectiveness.
Desired Skills & Experience

Strong project management and delivery experience: proven experience in managing marketing projects from conception to completion, ensuring successful delivery within allocated timelines, expectations, and budgets.

Marketing knowledge: strong understanding of marketing principles, strategies, and best practices across various channels, including digital, social media, content marketing, and Google Analytics.

Requirements:

B.A. or near completion in a relevant field of study or relevant work experience equivalent

Must live in Rhode Island

4+ Years of related work experience planning, buying, and managing a variety of media campaigns.

4+ years in project management

Attend and manage client events as needed, including after 5pm on weekdays and on weekends.
Nice to Haves, but Not Necessary:

Hold certification in Google AdWords and/or Facebook-certified professional.

Knowledge in using Adobe products and/or Canva.

Comfort using Google Apps for Business products.

Familiarity with Rhode Island and/or progressive politics.

In addition to English, fluency in Spanish is desirable; or other languages spoken in Rhode Island (e.g., Mandarin, Cape Verdean Creole, Haitian Creole, etc.).
