Executive Assistant

Location: Remote with in-person tasks. Must live in Rhode Island.
Compensation: $50,000-60,000/year (based on experience)

Status: Permanent, Full-Time, Salaried

Anticipated Start Date: March 1, 2024


Position Description

Systems Change Strategies (SCS) is looking for an Executive Assistant to join our team. This is a permanent position. SCS exclusively works with mission driven non-profits, governmental entities, and campaigns that align with our values of helping people and creating positive impact in the communities we serve.


This is a full-time, salaried role. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Managing Director and Managing Principal for a boutique consulting firm focused on public interest clients.


Part of this work will also likely include performing administrative and operations tasks and providing project support as needed.


The selected candidate will be expected to participate in team meetings and work with team members and clients to deliver a quality service.


This position offers a mix of independent and collaborative work, and you will work with a number of highly talented and collegial colleagues to help bring our clients’ mission’s to reality. It’s a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills in social impact causes and campaigns working on high-impact projects for a mission driven organization.


SCS is a fully-remote company, although our client base is primarily located in Rhode Island and the company operates on Eastern Time.

Primary Duties

  • Provide Administrative Support to the Managing Director and Managing Principal:

    • Track emails and various deadlines

    • Create meeting agendas as needed

    • Maintain organized and easily accessible google drive folders for a variety of documentation and work products

    • Manage payments and record receipts

    • Call clients and external contacts to make requests for information or provide information

  • Perform Administrative Tasks:

    • Facilitate team meetings

    • Disseminate team updates, surveys, and reminders

    • Plan and organize team meetings/retreats and special events

  • Perform Operations Tasks

    • Perform tasks to improve operational efficiency

    • Maintain company policies and procedures

    • Support hiring process and onboarding new employees

  • Provide Project Support

    • Write and edit communications

    • Travel to locations within RI for project administration (MAX 2 days per week, more often less)



  • B.A. in a relevant field of study or relevant work experience equivalent (3-4 years doing similar work).

  • Located in Rhode Island

Nice to Haves, but Not Necessary:

  • Comfort using Google Apps for Business products

  • Familiarity with Rhode Island
